Junior has had to face many obstacles. It starts when he starts going to the white school. All of his friends ignore him and everyone thinks he’s a trader. No one on the rez talks to him anymore except for a handful of people. His best friend, Rowdy, totally ignores him. A few months later his dad’s friend, Eugene, gets drunk with his friend and they get in a fight. He then gets killed because his friend shot him in the face. Junior’s grandmother dies a few weeks later. Then his older sister runs off with a guy and lives in Montana with him. Next his sister passes away. Junior is always facing an obstacle of some sort.
